MUSCAT: A number of agreements were signed on Tuesday to implement service and development projects in the various wilayats of North Al Batinah Governorate, at a cost of more than OMR 24 million.
The agreements signed by His Excellency Sheikh Saif bin Hamir Al Malik Al Shehhi, Governor of North Al Batinah, at the headquarters of North Al Batinah Municipality included agreements to pave a number of integrated commercial and residential schemes in the governorate’s wilayats and to complete the works of parcels and protections and projects to pave the roads of some mountainous areas and to rehabilitate streets and service roads in the governorates, as well as to supplement and pave the way the remaining roads from the project for the design and construction of internal roads (first stage).
The agreements also included the design and construction of internal roads for industrial and commercial areas in the governorate’s states, the development of industrial areas through paving roads and lighting, adding some services, supplying lighting to the governorate’s states, and implementing, supplying and installing some facilities in public parks and a project for implementing waterfronts, in addition to a number of service projects in the governorate’s states.

The signing of the agreements was attended by Eng. Sulaiman bin Hamad Al Sunaidi, Director General of North Al Batinah Municipality, and Engineer Salem bin Mohammed Al Kindi, Director General of Sohar Municipality.
