MUSCAT: Two more players from Oman football team has tested positive for COVID-19 and will miss their next match against Australia in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
In a statement issued, Oman Football Association (OFA) said Jamil Al Yahmadi and Abdul Salam Amer have tested positive after they conducted the PCR test. “The PCR tests that were conducted for our first national team showed that Jamil Al Yahmadi and Abdul Salam Amer, who recently joined to the national team list, were infected, in addition to a number of members of the administrative and medical team,” OFA said.
According to OFA, the two players are now in quarantine. Oman play Australia on February 1.
