MUSCAT: Qatar’s Dakar sensation and multiple regional champion Nasser Saleh Al-Attiyah won the Oman Sohar International Rally, the first round of the Middle East Rally Championship.
Al Attiyah alongside 29-year-old Spanish female co-driver Alba Sánchez González secured the victory by the margin of 15min 13.8sec in their Autotek Volkswagen Polo GTI.
Meanwhile, Hamed Al-Wahaibi, the Omani veteran secured sixth place in his Motortune Škoda Fabia.
