MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman was ranked among the four safest Arab countries for 2022, according to a new index issued by the World Data Encyclopedia, Nambio.

The Sultanate placed with the UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia as the safest Arab countries for 2022, while Muscat ranked 18th globally among the safest cities and the lowest crime rate in the world.
The index ranks 459 cities, based on the public’s answers to questions related to cost of living, safety, pollution and crime.

Nambio is the largest and most famous online database in the world, and it is concerned with evaluating the level of crime and the degree of safety in the countries of the world, by measuring crime rates.

The index is based on many criteria, such as murder, theft, robbery and rape. The index ranks countries on a scale ranging from zero to 100, so that the closer a country is to zero, the lower its crime rates, while these rates rise if the assessment of a country approaches 100.
