MUSCAT: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology has detected a number of violations related to the Land Transport Law issued by Royal Decree No. 10/2016 and its executive regulations.
In a statement issued on Monday, the Ministry said legal measures have been taken against the violators.
The violations committed included exceeding the axial weight of trucks, vehicle operating cards, and engaging in land transport activities without a licence from the ministry.

Ministry said some truck drivers also violated the foreign transport law by exceeding the seven days stay in Oman without a permit.
