MUSCAT: The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion has launched 22 investment opportunities in the industrial sector from the second package under the initiative of 100 industrial opportunities that the ministry launched last year.
His Excellency Dr. Saleh bin Saeed Al-Masn, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Investment Promotion for Trade and Industry, said in a statement, “The second package is characterised as an integrated package of facilitating procedures, incentives and privileges, and the ministry is committed to making approvals and permits automatic and fast.”
Engineer Sami bin Salem Al Sahib, Director General of Industry at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, said in a statement, “The investment opportunities in the second package are represented by 15 opportunities provided by the Petroleum Development Oman.”

The total purchases of its products amounted to the equivalent of OMR 44 million, and five industrial opportunities from Nama Holding Company, and the total purchases of its products amounted to OMR 70 million, and two opportunities from the Mazoon Company, and the total purchases of its products amounted to OMR 600,000.
He added that these investment opportunities came to enhance the investment environment in the Sultanate of Oman by encouraging local and foreign investors to establish national industries and to promote the concept of added value to the industrial sector that contributes to supporting the Omani economy.
Her Excellency Asilah bint Salem Al Samsamiya, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion for Investment Promotion has confirmed that the Ministry took into account that the investment opportunities are distributed over the various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.
To contribute to achieving economic and social development in each governorate, providing job opportunities for its people, and adding economic and social dimensions related to the development plans set by each governorate.
