Pakistan’s President, PM meet Oman delegation

The meeting explored aspects of economic and investment cooperation between Oman and Pakistan, as well as augmenting investments between the two countries.

MUSCAT : President Dr. Arif Alvi of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan received Eng. Ridha Juma Al Saleh, Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) and the business delegation currently visiting Pakistan.

The meeting reviewed the historic relations between the Sultanate of Oman and Pakistan, as well as prospects of economic cooperation. It also stressed the importance of upgrading this cooperation and benefiting from the opportunities available at the two countries’ private sector to serve interests of the two sides.

Imran Khan, Prime Minister of Pakistan also received Eng. Ridha Juma Al Saleh, Chairman of OCCI and his accompanying delegation.

The meeting explored aspects of economic and investment cooperation between Oman and Pakistan, as well as augmenting investments between the two countries.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan instructed members of his government, attending the meeting, to limit difficulties facing businessmen of the two countries. He added that this step would help setting up joint ventures particularly in Gwadar, in addition to establishing a direct marine route between Omani ports and Gwadar port.
