MUSCAT: An emergency meeting of the Board of Directors of the General Federation of Workers of Oman Workers and officials Ministry of Labour was held to discuss various topics related to private sector employees in the country.
The meeting was held at the invitation of Dr. Mahad Said Ba’Owain, Minister of Labour, who was also present during the discussion.
During the meeting, topics including the new draft of the Oman Labour Law, draft pension fund merger, the repercussions of laying off Omani workforce in the private sector, and the activation of Article (110) of the Labour Law was also discussed.
