His Majesty praises government in improving Oman’s financial situation

His Majesty thanked all the officials of various state institutions and also citizens who have played a pivotal role in achieving the country’s aspirations.

MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik has presided over the Council of Ministers meeting on Thursday at Al Barakah Palace.

During his meeting, His Majesty reviewed the tenth five-year plan which included many development projects with a social dimension in various governorates, such as schools, hospitals, internal roads and social housing.

His Majesty pointed out the importance of the governors in every wilayats to follow up and supervise the implementation of the planned projects in coordination with the concerned authorities.

His Majesty also reviewed the National Employment Program and the initiatives for employment and the efforts exerted in this aspect by all civil and military sectors and the private sector during the current year. His Majesty the Sultan stressed the need to give more attention to this aspect.

His Majesty affirmed that the achievements made at the national level in various fields came with the success of God Almighty. He also thanked the concerted efforts of all officials and various state institutions, and citizens who played a pivotal role.

His Majesty the Sultan praised the positive role played by the government to improve the financial situation and reduce the state’s general budget deficit, and the measures aimed at achieving financial sustainability, which were positively reflected on all economic and monetary indicators.

His Majesty also clarified that the positive results achieved at the economic and social levels enabled the government to implement a number of programs and complete many strategic initiatives and projects.

His Majesty the Sultan directed all concerned parties to make double efforts to make Oman 2040 Vision a reality.

In light of the steady increase of coronavirus cases witnessed by countries around the world, His Majesty urged all members of the society to abide by the controls and precautions adopted by the concerned authorities.
