MUSCAT: Ministry of Education has refuted rumours circulating on social media regarding Oman being ranked among the bottom countries in the Education Quality Index for 2021 issued by the Davos Conference.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Ministry said “there is no report issued by the forum regarding this indicator so far.”
“There is no truth to what is being circulated on social media platforms about the Sultanate being ranked in the bottom in the Education Quality Index 2021. There is no report issued by the forum regarding this indicator so far. The forum has indicated that the competitiveness report for the year 2021 has not yet been issued, and that it has nothing to do with the data and indicators that have been published,” Ministry added.

Ministry informed that the Sultanate will not be included in the 2021 Competitiveness Report. “We are one among the countries in which opinion polls have not been implemented due to the pandemic,” the ministry said.
