MUSCAT: A rumour that the Royal Oman Police will increase the residence renewal fee from January 2022 had gone viral on social media forums.
However, the unsubstantiated rumour — triggering concern among people — was strongly refuted by police authorities.
The circular, which was denied by ROP stated a decision to raise the residence renewal fee by 25%, starting from next year.
