MUSCAT: More than 28,000 employees will be eligible to be promoted in the government sector based on the directives issued by His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik on Tuesday.
In a statement issued the Ministry of Labour clarified that the current promotion will be for government employees who are eligible for seniority in 2011. The decision will be implemented from January 1, 2022, the Ministry said.
“The Ministry and all relevant governmental units will take the necessary efforts to implement the directives of His Majesty,” Ministry of Labour added.

On Tuesday, while presiding the Council of Ministers meeting, His Majesty directed the cabinet regarding the promotion of government employees.
