MUSCAT: The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has signed a memorandum of understanding with Dar Al Atta’a Association to build 35 housing units for a number of citizens whose homes were damaged in the North Al Batinah Governorate due to tropical cyclone Shaheen.

The Dar Al Attaa Association will implement these housing units in the Sana’a Bani Ghafer area in the Wilayat of Al Khaboura in the North Al Batinah Governorate, including several facilities.

The ministry will provide the plan and suitable lands for development far from the streams of valleys to avoid the effects of possible climate changes, prepare house designs, facilitate construction procedures and supervise the implementation process.

The construction of these houses comes within the initiative of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning to build 328 housing units for citizens whose homes are affected by cyclone Shaheen.
