MUSCAT: Rescue teams pulled bodies of two expat workers from the rubble of a landslide in Rusayl Industrial Area following heavy rainfall due to cyclone Shaheen on Sunday.
In a statement issued, the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority said a workers accommodation collapsed as a result of a landslide in Rusayl.
CDAA did not reveal the details about the nationality. This is the third death reported as a result of cyclone Shaheen after a child drowned on Sunday morning in Al Amerat. Oman has been witnessing heavy rainfall across the country due to the direct effects of cyclone Shaheen that is expected to make landfall on Sunday evening.
