MUSCAT: Mr. Amit Narang has been appointed as the new Ambassador of India to Oman.
In a statement issued, the Ministry of External Affairs said Mr. Narang from the 2001 Indian Foreign Service batch who is presently the Joint Secretary in the Ministry will succeed His Excellency Munu Mahawar, the current Ambassador.
Earlier on Wednesday, MEA said Mahawar has been appointed as the new High Commissioner to Maldives.
