MUSCAT: Non-vaccinated expat residents can return to Oman but they have to undergo 7-day mandatory institutional quarantine, The Arabian Stories (TAS), has learnt.
The decision also applies to expat residents who have taken one dose of vaccine from Oman and are unable to obtain the second dose in their countries. “Expat residents working in government and private sector establishments, holding valid Oman residency permits, and have taken only one dose of vaccine from Oman and are not able to obtain the second dose from their countries are allowed to come. They must take PCR before entering Oman, and also take a PCR test upon arrival and must wear an electronic tracking bracelet. They must also go into mandatory 7-day institutional quarantine,” Government Communication Centre (GC) said.
“For expat residents who are not vaccinated and holding valid residency permits are allowed provided they must take PCR test before arrival and after arrival, must wear the electronic tracking bracelet and must go into institutional quarantine for a period of 7 days. They must do a PCR test on the eighth day,” GC added.
