MUSCAT: Oman has reopened its doors to the world on Wednesday after nearly four months of closed borders and grounded flights, as government begins to revive its economy and bring life back to normal.
Starting today, vaccination will be mandatory to visit government institutions, shopping malls, restaurants and private sector facilities, while fully vaccinated travellers from around the world can enter the country. With the Sultanate reporting significant drop in new infections, government employees will also return to work at 100 per cent capacity.
“We’re excited about the country reopening in a bid to bring life back to normal. How long can we sit back and wait? It’s time we get back to business,” said Omani citizen Ibrahim Jamel Mubark Al Yahmadi.
