MUSCAT: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) on Saturday said it will continue to monitor all gatherings despite lifting the restrictions.

In the wake of coronavirus cases, gatherings of all types are banned in Oman.

In a statement issued, ROP also urged people to adhere to the precautionary measures.

“Within the framework of the Royal Oman Police implementing the decisions of the Supreme Committee to prevent gatherings in public places, it urges the public to cooperate in adhering to this, and confirms its follow-up and continuation of its duty to monitor all gatherings in the interest of the public,” ROP said.

On Saturday, the Supreme Committee lifted the night movement ban on individuals and vehicles.
