MUSCAT: Mohammed Bin Mahfoodh Al Ardhi has been appointed as the first chairman of the Board of Directors of Muscat Stock Exchange Company SAOC, the Oman Investment Authority (OIA) informed on Thursday.
Al Ardhi is the Executive Chairman of Investcorp and Chairman of Sohar International.
In January, His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik issued a Royal Decree transforming Muscat Securities Market (MSM) into a closed Omani joint stock company in the name of Muscat Stock Exchange Company SAOC.

MSM is the only stock exchange in Oman established in 1988, to regulate and control the Omani securities market and to participate, effectively, with other organizations for setting up the infrastructure of the Sultanate’s financial sector.
