MUSCAT : A surgical team from the Royal Hospital (RH)’s Pediatric Surgery has succeeded in performing a rare surgery for an eight-month old baby with Fetus in Fetu condition.
The Surgical team was led by Head of Pediatric of RH , Dr Mohammed Al Sajwani , along with three Pediatric surgeons Dr Saeed Bani Oraba , Dr Mahmood Ibrahim and Dr Mohammed Hamed and with the cooperation of anesthetists and nurses.
“The patient’s post -surgery examinations and vital signs showed success and was discharged after three days,” a statement from Ministry of Health said.

“Fetus in Feto’ is a rare medical phenomenon that is estimated to occur in 1 in 500,000 live births.
