MUSCAT : With only five days left for the exit scheme to end, Oman’s Ministry of Labour has urged expats with expired work permits to register before March 31.
According to the data available, more than 65,000 people have applied for the exit scheme of which over 45,000 have left the country.
The exit scheme which was announced in November 2020 will not be extended further, the Ministry has warned and expats who have received the approval must leave the country permanently before June 30, 2021. “All requests and approvals will be cancelled after the expiration of the period granted to them.” an official from the Ministry said.
