MUSCAT: Private sector companies that have fulfilled the approved Omanisation ratio will get a reduction in fees to recruit and renew work permits of expat workers.
The decision comes based on an economic stimulus package approved by His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik on Tuesday.
According to details, there will be 50% reduction for firms and establishments fulfilling approved Omanisation percentage, while 25% reduction for firms and establishments with an Omani workforce. The reduction in expat work fees is applicable for intermediate, technical, and specialized professions.
