MUSCAT: Today, as the world celebrates International Women’s Day, a top government official expressed the contribution of the Omani women, and their role in the development of the country.
Maani bint Abdullah Al Busaidia, Director General of the General Directorate For family development said Oman is the one among the first country to empower women both at regional and international level. “The Sultanate is one of the first countries to empower women at the regional and international level, in addition to its commitment to a number of international conventions and agreements concerned with women,” she said in a statement issued to Oman News Agency.
