MUSCAT: Eight Omani citizens have been sentenced to six months in prison and a fine of OMR 500 for violating the decisions of the Supreme Committee.
In a statement issued by the Public Prosecution said primary courts in North Batinah and Buraimi convicted eight citizens for violating the institutional quarantine procedures and gathering as instructed by the Supreme Committee on COVID-19 and “sentenced them to (6) months in prison and a fine of (500) Omani rials.”
