MUSCAT: Several expat workers have been arrested on Tuesday for using illegal fishing nets.
In a statement issued by Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources said they were caught fishing in Sadah in Dhofar Governorate. “The fisheries control team in Dhofar Governorate was able to seize offenses for fishing Abalone off-season in the wilayat of Sadah, in addition to expatriate workers working on fishing vessels without licenses. Legal procedures were being completed against them.”
