MUSCAT: Due to lack of commitment to home quarantine and many violations reported over the last few weeks, the Supreme Committee has decided to impose mandatory institutional quarantine on all passengers arriving in Oman.
In a series of decisions issued, the Committee also said that the passengers must meet the expense of the institutional quarantine.
In the last few weeks, many violations of home quarantine were reported in the country. On Monday, a person was arrested in Al Buraimi Governorate for escaping the home quarantine. Meanwhile the committee also urged citizens and residents to avoid travelling outside the country unless for extreme necessity.
