MUSCAT :The Supreme Committee said it is concerned about the rise in number of COVID-19 patients at intensive care units (ICU) in the country.
As per the latest data from Ministry of Health (MOH), the number of ICU cases went up to 43 patients from 29 four days ago. “Increase in coronavirus cases and ICU hospitalised patients are worrying,” the Supreme Committee said in a statement on Sunday. The number of cases in 72 hours have also increased with MOH reporting 633 new cases.
As part of controlling the measures, the committee also decided to extend the land border closure until further notice.
