MUSCAT: The Ministry of Health issued a circular to recall and suspend the dispensation of several medicines manufactured by the Gulf Pharmaceutical Industries, Julphar.
In a statement issued by MOH said it has decided to withdraw Mucolyte Syrup, Supraproct-S Suppositories, Julmentin 375mg Tablets, Butalin 2mg Tablet, Butalin 4mg Tablet, Julmentin Fore Tablets, Scopinal Syrup and Lipigard 10mg Tablets.
“The withdrawal was due to non-compliance to the approved specifications,” MOH said.

“Therefore, the local agent of the manufacturer has been notified to arrange the recall of the product’s batches from all private and public health care institutions,” the statement said.
The Ministry also advised patients to stop using it and see a specialist doctor for an alternative subscription.
