Oman launches Oxford-AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccination campaign

MUSCAT : Oman will begin the launch of Oxford/AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccination campaign on Sunday across all governorates in the country.

In a statement issued, Ministry of Health said those aged 65 years and above “whether they are healthy or suffer from a chronic disease” are invited to take the vaccine doses. Vaccination can be taken from dedicated health centres in the country. India had earlier gifted 100,000 vaccine doses to Oman.

Meanwhile, those who received the first dose of Pfizer vaccine wont be covered by the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine.

Following are the health centres offering Oxford/AstraZeneca in Muscat Governorate daily:

Ruwi Health Center – between 7.30 am and 8.30 pm and during public holidays between 9.30 am and 3.30 pm.

Muscat Health Center – between 7.30 am and 8.30 pm and during public holidays between 9.30 am and 3.30 pm.

Bausher Health Center – between 7.30 am and 8.30 pm and during public holidays between 9.30 am and 3.30 pm.

Al Khuwair North Health Center – between 7.30 am and 8.30 pm and during public holidays between 9.30 am and 3.30 pm.

Hay al Jamaa Health Center in Seeb — between 7.30 am and 8.30 pm and during public holidays between 9.30 am and 3.30 pm.

Azaiba Health Center Sunday to Thursday  (from 7:30 am to 2 pm)

Al Wattayah Health Center – Sunday to Thursday  (from 7:30 am to 2 pm)
