MUSCAT : Sayyid Khalid Al Busaidi, Chairman of Oman Olympic Committee (OOC) praised Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah, President of Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) for his astute handling of the voting process for the 2030 Asian Games.
Doha won the bid to host the 2030 Asian Games, while Riyadh won the 2034 Games after the voting was held in Muscat on Wednesday.
“It was an excellent outcome, a win-win situation for both countries,” said Sayyid Khalid in an interview to OCA online portal. “It is a happy day for all sports fans in the region. The result of awarding Riyadh the 2034 Asian Games was an excellent outcome. We have to be thankful to the wise leadership and guidance of Sheikh Ahmad. It was tremendous leadership,” Sayyid Khalid added.
