MUSCAT: His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Sabah has been appointed as the new Emir, state-owned Kuwait TV announced on Tuesday.
His appointment comes following the death of Emir Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, at the age of 91 after ruling the Gulf state for 14 years.
