MUSCAT: Oman will begin the third phase of national sero-survey of COVID-19 on Sunday, September 27.
In a statement issues by the Ministry of Health (MOH) said the survey will be conducted in four stages. “The survey is scheduled to be conducted in four stages due to the importance of the stages in shaping the course of the pandemic in Oman during specific period. We emphasize on the need for individuals to participate in the survey to facilitate the survey process during the scheduled period of time, reassuring all the participants that no consequences like mandatory isolation or wearing an electronic tracking bracelet for those participating in the survey,” the statement said.
“The main objectives already yielded an overall prevalence rate in various governorates of Oman and the level of infection in those who have not shown any symptoms have been assessed during the initial phase,” the statement added.
