MUSCAT: The Supreme Committee (SC) has expressed grave concern about the spike in coronavirus cases including deaths in the country.

Oman’s total Covid-19 cases has touched 94,711 including 865 deaths.

According to SC, the rise in infections is due to the “complete lack of compliance with the instructions and precautions,” and stressed the need for everyone to adhere to all the precautionary measures issued by the competent authorities. “All individuals have a responsibility to protect himself, his family and his community from infection,” SC said in a statement.

The committee headed by His Excellency Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidy expressed its deep appreciation for His Majesty the Sultan’s presiding over the meeting of the Supreme Committee last week, as well as His Majesty’s emphasis on making all means available for handling the pandemic and its impacts.
