MUSCAT: Legal action has been taken against people who violated the Supreme Committee decisions and provided sheesha services in Sohar.

In a statement issued, Sohar Municipality said a farmhouse was raided after they received information that it is providing sheesha services which is in violation of the Supreme Committee decisions.

In the wake of coronavirus pandemic, the Supreme Committee had ordered to shut all sheesha cafes to contain the spread of the virus.

“Sohar Municipality, in coordination with the Public Prosecutor and the Royal Oman Police, raided one of the farms where the Sheesha service was provided. This is in violation of the decisions of the Supreme Committee to deal with COVID-19 and practicing activity without a municipal licence.
