MUSCAT : In response to the Majlis Al Shura Council’s request, the Ministry of Health has decided to convert the old building of Ibn Sina Hospital into a treatment and rehabilitation centre for drug addicts.
In a statement issued by MOH the rehab will be setup with funding from Petroleum Development Oman (PDO). “The Ministry has drawn up a plan to use the land of the former hospital, taking into account the provision of medical, health and investment services. A centre for the treatment and rehabilitation of patients with drug and psychotropic substance addiction will be established with funding from Petroleum Development Oman,” MOH said in a statement.
