MUSCAT: Blessy Thomas, who worked as a staff nurse in Oman has died at the Royal Hospital due to Covid-19, the Ministry of Health said on Tuesday.
According to MOH, this is the first death among health care workers registered in the country due to the pandemic.
Blessy who hails from Kerala in India was working in Sinaw government hospital.

“The deceased was a true hero and a role model of hard sincere work,” MOH said paying tribute to Blessy.
“His Excellency the Minister of Health, their Excellencies, as well as MOH’s personnel and all health care workers in Oman express their heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased,” MOH added in the statement.
