MUSCAT: Oman has expressed its support for the Palestinian people to obtain their “legitimate rights” and to end the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian lands.
Addressing a virtual meeting of the 154thregular session of the Arab League, His Excellency Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi, Oman’s Foreign Minister has called-on Arab countries to come forward to find a solution based on the “principle of land for peace” for Palestine.
In his address, Al Busaidi also highlighted the current situation in the Middle East, and how to find peaceful solutions to the issues and challenges that threaten the Arab people.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: “HE expressed the Sultanate’s support for the Palestinian people to obtain their legitimate rights, support for peace efforts and initiatives in the region, and that a comprehensive and just peace between the Arab countries and Israel cannot be achieved without the two-state solution based on the principle of land for peace and an end to the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian lands.”
“His Excellency expressed the Sultanate’s solidarity with the Republic of Sudan to overcome its ordeal with the impact of torrents and floods, and welcomed the agreement between the Republic of Sudan and South Sudan, and supported the Lebanese Republic and called on the international community to rebuild it,” the statement added.
