MUSCAT: Coronavirus cases in Oman continue to rise steadily, with the country reporting over 10,000 cases in 10 days.
Of the total 11,276 cases registered in the last 10 days, more than 70 percent are Omanis. According to the data provided by the Ministry of Health, a total of 7,520 cases are Omanis, while 3,756 are expats.
“Unless people follow strict health guidelines, the cases will continue to increase,” said an official at MOH.

His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al Saidi, Minister of Health had repeatedly advised people to stay away from gatherings. “It is not the responsibility of the government alone, it is the responsibility of every single one of us to keep the numbers low. We need to be responsible and accountable,” he added.
The total coronavirus cases in the country has touched 46,178, of which 27,917 have recovered.
