MUSCAT: As many as 34 expatriates were arrested for violating the Supreme Committee’s decisions and playing cricket in Al Ansab in Muscat Governorate, the Royal Oman Police said on Friday.
In the wake of coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak, Oman has banned gatherings including sports activities in public places. “A group of 34 expatriates were arrested in Al Ansab for violating the Supreme Committee’s decision and gathering and playing cricket on Friday. Everyone must abide by the decisions to contain the spread of the virus,” ROP said in a statement.
