MUSCAT: The Supreme Committee members is meeting the media to give the latest update on Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak in the country.

Excerpts from the press conference:
Public Prosecutor: The fine for not wearing a mask in public places is OMR 20.
Minister of Health: If people can keep a physical distance of 2 metres, there is no need to wear face masks.
Minister of Health: No plans to impose curfew in Oman as the numbers are not higher compared to other countries. Royal Oman Police has been asked to monitor the movements.
Public Prosecutor: A fine of 200 riyals will be imposed for those who are not committed to institutional and domestic quarantine.
Public Prosecutor: The police have the authority to enter public and private institutions.
Public Prosecutor: Fines for violators will be transferred to the coronavirus fund.
Public Prosecutor: Every offender will be imprisoned for 48 hours.
Public Prosecutor: The fine for gathering per person is OMR100.
Public Prosecutor: OMR 1,500 fine for anyone found to be organising gathering.
Minister of Health: Cases among Omanis higher in the last few days as many are not following social distancing rules.
Minister of Health: Expats fatality rate is higher because they reach hospital late for treatment.
Minister of Health: 25 people received plasma treatment so far and 18 recovered.
Sheikh Khalifa Al Harthy: 2,500 stranded migrant workers repatriated to India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Public Prosecutor: Six months jail term, fine, and deportation sentences have been introduced for some people who are not respecting the decisions of the Supreme Committee.
Minister of Health: OMR 28.4 million has been as fund from various entities so far including OMR 10 million from His Majesty the Sultan. However, there are many companies that provided support and in kind donations such as shelters and catering services.
ROP: Sanitary health isolation will continue in Wilayat Muttrah and Jalan Bani Bu Ali during Eid holidays.
Minister of Transport: Omani residents in GCC counties will be allowed to travel abroad specially those who who have relatives.
