MUSCAT: Some companies in Oman are forcing employees to attend work, amidst the coronavirus outbreak, Minister of Health said on Thursday.
Speaking to the media, His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al Saidi, Minister of Health said legal action will be taken against such companies. “Some institutions are forcing their employees to come to work especially those with chronic diseases or those who are in isolation to leave their homes and work from office. We have received many reports on this. This is not acceptable at all. They (companies) are risking the health of everyone. We are taking legal action against them and will face heavy penalties,” Minister added.
“Those who know about these violations should report them directly to the concerned authorities, as the Infectious Diseases Act has been tightened and will be applied to them,” Al Saidi added.
