MUSCAT: Oman’s telecom regulatory authority on Monday issued a notification to both Omantel and Ooredoo asking them to stop promoting their services using the term
‘unlimited use of the service’.

In a circular issued to both the telecom companies, Telecom Regulatory Authority (TRA), that they must clearly clarify to the customers the terms and conditions of various promotional packages offered to the customers.

The circular has been issued after several complaints from customers who said these “unlimited offers” mislead them about the benefit of these packages.

TRA warned the companies of necessary regulatory and legal measures in the event violating these terms.
