Muscat: On the cusp of International Women’s Day next month, Forbes Middle East has unveiled its annual Power Businesswomen in the Middle East list, packed with 100 exceptional businesswomen at the head of many of the most influential and transformational companies in the region.
Nine high achieving Omani women have been ranked in the influential Forbes list of most powerful businesswomen in the Arab world 2020.
Honourable Lujaina Mohsin Darwish, Deputy Chairperson of Mohsin Haider Darwish has been placed 34th on the Forbes List of 100 Most Powerful Women in the Middle East.

Speaking exclusively to The Arabian Stories after Honourable Lujaina Mohsin Darwish said she is honoured to be “re-nominated by Forbes”.
“It’s an absolute honor to be re-nominated by Forbes in The Middle East 100 powerhouse businesswomen 2020. I owe it to the blessing of Almighty Allah, my parents and our beloved father of the nation, late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said without whose benevolent leadership and guidance this would never have been possible,” she said.

Darwish was previously identified as the 100 most powerful Arab Business Women by Forbes Magazine in 2017. According to Darwish, the award has now increased her responsibilities. “While I am extremely humbled to be included in the listing, I do realize the responsibilities such an award brings and will re-double my efforts to live up to the expectations and hope that I can set an example to my countrymen, family, friends, business associates, employees and others,” she added.
