MUSCAT: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) have praised workers at a fuel station in Wadi Bani Khalid for their quick thinking that helped avert a major fire accident on Monday.
The fire broke out in the afternoon at Al Maha filling station, sending plumes of thick black smoke into the sky. “The fuel station workers were quick to respond to the fire. We appreciate their commendable efforts,” said a statement from Oman’s Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulances.
The fire was put out quickly by the PACDA team. No injuries have been reported.
