Muscat: Conveying a ‘keep your city clean’ message, Muscat Municipality has asked all citizens and residents not to litter or split in public areas including parks and beaches. Violating such instructions may cost you more than OMR 200 in fines.
According to the Municipality, leaving garbage at an unspecified location would attract a fine of OMR 100 while splitting in public areas can get you a fine of OMR 20. Grilling or barbecuing on the grass at parks and other public spaces including beaches can also get a fine of OMR 100.

“We look forward for your support and cooperation in making our city clean and we hope you will abide by these regulations and instructions,” said a statement from the Municipality.
