Mumbai: Finally, superstar Nivin Pauly’s much-awaited trailer of Moothon is released. The movie that is scheduled to be released in cinemas next month has already won the hearts of film lovers across the globe. Nivin plays the lead role in Moothon, which is helmed by actor turned director Geetu Mohandas.
The trailer released on Friday evening by Bollywood star Vicky Kaushal and South India. Superstar Dhanush is intense, gripping and dark. Moothon chronicles the story of a 14-year-old boy, Mullah, who travels to Mumbai from Lakhswadeep islands in search of his elder brother. Nivin Pauly is essaying the role of “Bhai”, a goon in the underbelly of Kamathipura, the red light district of Mumbai. He looks menacing in the trailer.
The trailer had already garnered 850,000 views in just 18 hours on YouTube. Actor Rakshit Shetty was the first to comment. “This one looks mind blowing,” he wrote on Twitter. Moothon made waves after its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival this year. The film has also been chosen to open the Jio MAMI film festival held in Mumbai. Apart from Nivin Pauly, the supporting cast comprises Shashank Arora, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jim Sarbh Harish Khanna and Roshan Mathew among others. The film is written and co-produced by Anurag Kashyap while award-winning filmmaker Rajeev Ravi cranked the camera.
