MUSCAT: The Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) is conducting a joint military exercise with the US and Britain, the official Omani news agency has reported.
Codenamed the “Magic Carpet”, the exercise started Sunday at Oman’s Thamrait airbase and runs until September 19, according to the agency.
The drill, part of the regular RAFO exercises, is being carried out with participation of aircraft from the British Royal Air Force and the US Air Force, supported by the Royal Navy of Oman and the Sultanate’s Special Force.

The current exercise aims at carrying out joint training exercises as part of cooperation between Oman, the US and Britain, and exchanging aviation expertise.
