Muscat: Royal Oman Police has urged citizens and residents to support its officers in combatting the scourge of drugs and report to the nearest police station to help nab drug traffickers and peddlers.
The ROP and departments concerned with controlling drug trafficking and abuse have been conducting campaigns and awareness programmes in various governorates. Meanwhile, early last week police arrested four expatriates for possessing, trafficking and abusing narcotic drugs in Dhakaliya governorate.
A statement by the ROP read: “The Royal Oman Police invites all citizens and residents to cooperate in combating the scourge of drugs and to report to police officers of any information that can help the authorities uncover drug suppliers and dealers.
