MUSCAT: Dr. Lamya Al Haj, Assistant Professor at Sultan Qaboos University was honoured at the official launch of HerStory with ‘Excellence in Science Award’ presented by The Arabian Stories at Grand Hyatt Muscat. She received the award from Her Highness Sayyida Mayya Al Said.
Dr. Lamya is also an award-winning scientist and a brilliant public speaker. In 2018, Dr. Lamya received L’Oréal-Unesco ‘For Women in Science Middle East Fellowship’ award. In 2006, she won the prestigious award “Boban Marcovic Prize in Environmental Science”
At the HerStory launch, Dr. Lamya, spoke about the personal aspirations and obstacles while developing a passion for her proffesion.
