MUSCAT: Oman Air has been forced to cancel 34 flights between March 19 and 22 as Oman’s Public Authority for Civil Aviation has ordered suspending operations of Boeing 737 Max 8.
“As a result of the Public Authority for Civil Aviation directives on suspending operations of Boeing 737 Max, we have cancelled the following flights in the period between 19th to 22nd March 2019. We are rebooking guests on alternative / next available flights to their destinations. We advise all our guests who are due to travel during the same period to check the flight status or contact our call center +96824531111,” the airline said in a notice.
According to the statement, Oman Air also said “certain flights until March 30 to a number of destinations have been cancelled.”

Meanwhile, according to BBC, Boeing has told airlines it expects to have new software for its 737 Max plane ready by the end of the month.
